80th Anniversary of Hilltop Free Will Baptist Church
Hilltop Free Will Baptist Church
(Est. 06/21/1941)
It is so humbling to realize that soon our church will be celebrating its 80th year of service to the Lord. I am sure the small group of people who were led by the Lord to establish Hilltop Free Will Baptist Church had no idea what that small beginning may become. But they stepped out in faith and God blessed their efforts that we are still reaping the benefits of today.
The church has had many different seasons over the past 80 years. Seasons of labor, sowing, and reaping. Seasons of rain and plenty and seasons of toil and famine. But nevertheless the Lord has seen Hilltop through them all and has led us here today. May we have the faith to follow the leadership of God by continuing the work in sowing and reaping and by rising up to meet the needs of this present season and the seasons to come.
We look back with much rejoicing to God, who by working through his people, carved out of the wilderness a place where we could worship the Lord and who has in this season raised up a people who are willing to work together for the unified purpose of the Glory of God.
As we face the future, we face it with the confidence that Paul boldly prolcaims in Philippians 1:6 that “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”. May God bless us as all as we continue the work of the Kingdom that was started so many years ago.
In Christ
